LOOP MASS

presented by The Austin Museum of Digital Art and Captive

August 26-27, 2016 at The Off Center.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Loop Mass is an ambitious collaborative installation project incorporating motion work from over 50 visual artists. These artists’ looped videos will be projection-mapped onto a massive floor-to-ceiling, suspended sculpture. The space will function as an animated art gallery and a unique activated environment for special musical performances by Austin-based composers Justin Sherburn, Matt Steinke, Kyle Evans and Zac Traeger.

Loop Mass will stretch over two nights, both featuring unique performances from renowned local composers, along with custom visual art to accompany their work.

ABOUT AMODA

The Austin Museum of Digital Art (AMODA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to engage the public and artists in the creation, understanding, and appreciation of digital art. Currently, AMODA has no permanent physical space or venue. As a “museum without walls,” AMODA presents exhibitions, showcases, film screenings, lectures, and other events at various locations in Austin, often in collaboration with other arts and educational organizations. Our ultimate goal is to establish a physical space where digital art can be viewed by the general public. We hope to make AMODA a center in the community for art presentation, education, and outreach.
