Nov 1 – 24, 2024 (stay tuned for added shows)
thurs – sun at 8pm

Thank you for joining us in this honest-to-god attempt to deliver a straightforward version of this iconic American classic.

We’re pretty sure you already know what it’s about, but in brief, we are sharing Wilder’s story of love, life and death.

We’re gonna try as hard as we can to do it as Wilder intended.

Rude Mechs tends to make new plays from scratch – so why are we doing an already-scripted and much-produced play like Our Town? We’ll be using what we learn about this to make a completely new piece in 2025/26 as part of a series we are calling Do It / Rude It. We invite you to make a donation to support this work at rudemechs.com/support.

How You Can Help

Crashbox – we have taken over and are renovating Bay 11 (go take a look!). This is not free. We would love materials, cold hard cash, labor. Find Thomas and ask him how you can pitch in.

We have built out a studio that we will be offering as an artist in residence program. We are looking for 12 businesses or individuals that would be interested in covering one months rent to host an artist at Crashbox.  This would be a $500 annual commitment.  Please reach out if you’re interested in sponsoring a month of free rent!

Our chairs – you see them right? They were generously donated to us in the 2000’s – we can’t remember when but we’ve had them probably 20 years. We’d love to get all 85 chairs reupholstered. If you have a connection, or cold hard cash, or skills, we’d dig it. Find any of us and let us know how you can help.

THE NEXT NEW PLAY needs funding. We love grants, partnerships, collabs. Come talk to us. We love that.
