Synth Salon – Friday Intro to Drum Machines
In this hands-on, hardware-focused workshop, you’ll learn to craft rhythms using the 16-step sequencer on a custom-built drum machine. Explore the significance and history of drum machines, and how they shaped the landscape across genres of dance music. Acquire valuable techniques and insights on rhythm construction from both technical and musical perspectives to create your own unique beats.

Synth Salon – Thursday Salon
We’re excited to introduce our new “Salon” series. These sessions celebrate the spontaneity of community by offering freeform time with access to our full collection of synths and drum machines, along with expert guidance. Here, we embrace your creativity, the beauty of happy accidents, and the magic of getting lost in sound while connecting with others and sharing our work. Feel free to sample the gear, and work on your own tracks (be sure to BYO- recording equipment). Whether you’re here to experiment with a synth, dive deeper into topics we’ve covered in class, or simply soak in the atmosphere, this is your time to shape as you wish—whether synths are new to you, familiar, or somewhere in between.
