ABOUT GRAGERIART
Grageriart is a band, a store, an idea, and a collaboration. A sonic exploration of mindless consumption, home shopping catalogues, and desperation. Enjoy snacks. Browse our clothing line. Take in a live performance of the Grageriart audio experience.
Bring your wallet. #shop
Rude Mechs is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, and by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts.
You can keep checking back to see if anyone has canceled by looking for the “this performance is sold out” message in the form below to change to “x number of tickets available.” If you cannot see the show on any other night, email shop “at” grageriart “dot” com and we’ll see if we can work some magic.
We’re putting on a Salon… in a saloon. It’s FREE!
Join us for strong cocktails and real talk. Rude Mechs’ Co-Producing Artistic Directors Lana Lesley and Shawn Sides team up with a most badass panel of women-identified artists, including Choreographer/Dancer Deborah Hay and Filmmaker/Photographer Kayla Galang, for a frank discussion about art-making, living and working in Texas USA, and how, as women-identified artists, we actively navigate and create space over the course of our careers. Hosted by Carra Martinez, National Coordinator for Live in America at Fusebox Festival, and Alexandra Bassiakou Shaw, Managing Director for Rude Mechs.
Where: Rio Rita, 1203 Chicon St, Austin, TX 78702
Tickets: FREE – Please RSVP so we know how many cheese plates we need

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This is the workshop Hannah led for Rude Mechs when she introduced her stand-up to us. We loved it and immediately incorporated the work into the play we were creating at the time, Field Guide. It’s a low-pressure, high-fun way to write about yourself and what you are taking in as you move through the world. We have the whole joint to ourselves. We’ll write, we’ll share, there’ll be a mic and a stool. If you did it last year, we’d love to see you again. And when we’re done, we’ll toast ourselves!
Bring something to write with and on. If you want to do your set reading from your computer, bring that. If you like paper, then bring that. Index cards? Bring those. Whatever makes you comfortable.

Rude Mechs is thrilled to present the very hard and brave work created entirely by the participants of the Summer 2018 class of Off Center Teens. Come support them and hang out afterwards to talk to them about their work!

when: July 15 @ 7:00pm
where: Dowling Studio, 818 South 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN
For the first time in its history, the Guthrie will host Austin, TX-based theater collective Rude Mechs (aka Rude Mechanicals) in a development residency to present their latest original work Not Every Mountain, a beguiling meditation on change and permanence. Set against the backdrop of a soft-spoken rumination on life, relationships and ephemerality, performers use simple elements like string, cardboard and magnets to make giant mountains slowly rise, shift and grow. With some help from the audience, the mountains come alive, the seasons change and the moon makes its way across the sky.
