Rude Mechs is celebrating 20 years of rudeness and bracing up for the next four years of madness with Off Center: On Screen – a look back at the video archives of two of our favorite plays. The screenings are FREE!

Make a reservation for 7:30pm Screening – Lipstick Traces

The experience will go like this: You will show up in time to claim your reservation, pee, grab your drink and your popcorn, and find seats for Get Your War On. Rude Mech and Movie Aficionado Lowell Bartholomee will host Q&A, you’ll ask a question or two, pee again, claim your reservation for Lipstick Traces, grab some tamales and more drinks, and find seats. Lowell Bartholomee will host Q&A, you’ll ask a question or two, then you will hang with us around the fire but not too late ’cause it’s a school night.
This ancient archival footage had to be digitized from VHS tapes stored in a shoebox somewhere in someone’s closet, so… it’s not like going to see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse, it’s going to be like watching what was meant to be a live performance on video… at The Off Center.

And that’s why THIS IS A FREE EVENT!

And that’s also why THERE WILL BE A CASH BAR provided by our friends at The Side Bar! AND TAMALES for sale from Tamale Addiction! That’s three exclamation points.

If the screenings each sell out, we will start a waiting list IN PERSON at the door one hour before each screening, for that screening. Get it? 4pm wait list for Get Your War On and 6:30pm wait list for Lipstick Traces.

It’s going to be fine, I just wanted to rest assure you.
