Remember in the not-too-distant past when the U.S. citizens from the far, far left and far, far right who were caught posting violent rhetoric online were sent to Chant Camps?

The camps were supposed to re-train people to mean the same thing when they said words like ‘Democracy,’ ‘Love,’ and ‘Justice.’

Rude Mechs revisits this alternative history and recreates the tragic ending that collapsed that timeline with the audience cast as inmates chanting along.

"The Rudes seamlessly lead the audience through the dramatic and unsettling performance." - Slightlines

“...the Mech’s sense of the absurd made a show about the contradictions of language a fun night at (and of) camp.” - Arts and Culture Texas
