April 18 – May 3, 2003 at The Off Center (Austin, TX)
Rude Mechanicals is proud to present “Different Cities, Different Names” – the second production in our brand-new Second Stage series. This new play from Kirk Lynn is a bittersweet tale of two young ladies at boarding shcool. There they write in their journals, learn to smoke, and fall in love. Every day brings a new escape plane, each more fantastical than the last, but once you escape your youth you can never get back again.
ABOUT THE SECOND STAGE
The Second Stage Series is a new introduction into Rude Mechs’ traditional season and “Different Cities, Different Names” is the second installment in the newly launched series. The second stage was introduced to give Rude Mechs’ enormously talented company members more creative opportunities to workshop new work and flex their theatrical muscles in a casual late night atmosphere.
