Crossing Borders

Crossing Borders is an interdisciplinary conference that brought together nationally recognized performers and scholars to engage in a three-day critical discussion of the historical legacy, current wealth, and future trends of Latina/o queer theatre, dance, performance art, music, and fashion. The conference was sponsored by the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies at the City University of New York and the Department of Theater and Dance at the University of Texas-Austin. The festival was co-Produced by: U.T. Department of Theatre and Dance, Hyde Park Theatre, Rude Mechs, and the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies – CUNY

Memory’s Caretaker

Bonin-Rodriguez’s most recent solo work exploring cultural assimilation through the exmination of his own multi-cultural identity. A funny and poignant tale, Memory’s Caretaker lifts the lid on the American melting pot and serves up a platter of one family’s multiple social, sexual, and cultural identities at the price of fitting in.
